Help Support Baby Banks and the Marion Family
With heavy hearts but unwavering faith, we are asking for your support — whether through prayers or financial assistance — for our beloved Brandon and Brittany Marion as they prepare for the birth of their second son, Banks.
Baby Banks has been diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect called Truncus Arteriosus. This condition occurs when a single blood vessel comes out of the heart instead of the normal two (the pulmonary artery and the aorta), causing oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor blood to mix together. Because of this, Banks will need open-heart surgery within the first week of his life to repair the defect.
Doctors estimate that Banks will spend at least a month in the hospital following his birth, most of it in the cardiac intensive care unit. Brandon and Brittany live 1.5 hours away from the hospital where Banks will be born and treated, and the logistics of navigating this journey are already proving to be physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming.
In addition to preparing for this major surgery, the family is already incurring significant medical bills due to the numerous specialist appointments and high-risk prenatal care. And the total cost of Banks’ care — including surgery, hospitalization, and follow-up treatment — is impossible to predict.
This does not even include the mounting non-medical expenses:
- Fuel for frequent travel back and forth between home and hospital
- Meals while away from home
- Lodging near the hospital to remain close to Banks
- Childcare and support for Banks’ big brother, Brooks, who needs love and stability during this uncertain time
Brandon and Brittany are preparing to split their time and energy between two sons in two different places, doing their best to be present for both Brooks and Banks.
We are asking for prayers above all. We know that God is in control, and that He holds Banks and the entire Marion family in the palm of His hand. We trust in His plan, even in the face of uncertainty.
If you feel led to give financially, every donation — no matter the size — will go directly to helping this family stay afloat while they fight for Banks' life and juggle the many responsibilities that come with having a child in the NICU.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your prayers, generosity, and love mean more than words can say.
With gratitude and faith,
The Marion Family
