As many of our community members know, the Margist- Oscar family lost their home along with furniture, belongings, and clothing in a devastating fire that began in their dryer on Monday, May 19, in Smyrna.

Thankfully, the children were not home at the time, and Cory, a hardworking single mom, was able to make it to safety. Their beloved family cat was rescued by fast acting firefighters and paramedics.

While we are incredibly grateful for their safety, this family is now facing the challenge of starting from scratch-with no renters insurance to recover what they lost.

We are raising funds to help with emergency housing and relocation costs along with replacing some household essentials.
