Hello friends!

This project started as an original work created for our (Lyra, Tyler, Graham, and Elizabeth's) Catapult project for their MFA program with Pig Iron School and Rowan University. We were thrilled with the response we received in showing it for the first time in May 2025 and decided we needed to take this piece further. We are delighted to announce that we will be performing as part of PhysFest NYC 2026 on January 9 and 10 at both 7pm and 8:30pm.

Here's a little about our show:

The Marble In My Mouth is an original piece of devised theater. It asks the question: What happens when love has nowhere to go? If your grief were to take physical form, what would it become? How do we keep moving forward when what we want most is behind us? Enter the Squonk, here to help, nudge, move, push, eventually SHOVE Glen into the Deep Down of his grief. Memories become tone poems, his love becomes a hand dance, his frustration becomes a night at the cabaret; it doesn’t make sense, but neither does grief. The Marble in My Mouth is a fever dream play that wonders: What does grief want? And why is it here now, in your mail slot, in your radio, singing karaoke in your living room?
