The Crisis: Serhii's Medical Emergency

Serhii Malamura, a loving husband to Inna and father of four, found refuge in Canada after fleeing the war in Ukraine. They worked hard to rebuild their lives in Wainwright, Alberta.

On November 11th, Serhii suffered a sudden medical collapse and was rushed to the hospital. Due to the life-threatening nature of his condition, he was immediately flown to Edmonton by STARS Air Ambulance and diagnosed with a severe brain infection. The infection follows a major workplace accident last year where molten metal entered his eye, leaving him partially blind and in chronic pain.

Following emergency brain surgery on November 12th, Serhii is in a medically induced coma. The urgency is extreme.

The Immediate Need: Emergency Accommodation and Support

The Malamura family is now separated from their home in Wainwright. Their focus must be entirely on Serhii's fight for survival.
