On June 9 approximately 7500 (IAM) Railroad Machinists across the country will vote on new Union Leadership. The Candidates on the Challenger Slate have successfully secured a Nomination Endorsement vote and are on the National Election Ballot. The DL19 Challenger Slate is a group of Rank and File (IAM) Railroad Machinists who are united by a common goal to bring back unity, independence and internal democracy; principles of trade unionism. Labor Notes published an article on Reece Murtagh's bid for the Presidency. District Lodge 19 has been run like a private club for too long with all officers appointed. These officers treat the union like it's their private property. It's time to put the power back in the Rank and File members.
Donate to support the DL19 Challenger Slate's effort to inject some much-needed Union Democracy into District Lodge 19. Donations will be used to send campaign literature and maintain the website. District Lodge 19 United. The members of DL19 are spread across all states and running a national campaign is costly. The incumbent leadership makes it very hard for working members to campaign. Candidates are forced to use expensive outside mailing houses. Your donation will help the Challenger Slate take back their union and become Fighting Machinists once again.
*All employers and Unions are prohibited from donating to a Union Officer Campaign.
