We had the pleasure and privilege of being Amanda’s best friends for 15+ years. It comes with broken hearts that we even have to be raising funds in her honour, to help support her husband and 2 children she’s leaving behind.

Amanda was honest, sarcastic, dark with humour and loved her people with all her heart. Her favourite colour was black & if you ever saw her in person it would have been visibly obvious as well. She loved Halloween, fall and all things spooky but also enjoyed hibernation in the winter months & hiking and all things active as soon as it was warm enough to enjoy outside. Most of all she was a wife and mom. Randy, Madison and Jackson were and are her life. She was an amazing mom to them and always went above and beyond. When she would be away from them she would miss them like crazy, she made them laugh all the time with her silly ways but was there to comfort them so hard when they needed her most. Amanda and Randy were high school sweethearts and were inseparable from then on, they share so many memories and absolutely loved doing life together this kind of loss is unimaginable for him and their kids.

Amanda fell sick March of 2026 with no symptoms leading up to. A hospital trip was warranted and tests were done that then found Stage 4 colon cancer that metastasized to her liver and lungs. She received a bypass surgery for a colostomy bag and radiation started. She received 2 rounds of her 5 rounds of radiation and then chemo started after. Unfortunately she was only able to manage getting one dose of chemo. Her body had ultimately gave up before she could even fight.

With Randy being the only parent, the financial burden is only one of many things he has to face while grieving his wife. Being a solo parent and managing their new norm alone as well as not being able to return to work at Honda immediately. Please consider donating to help relieve even an ounce of stress. None of this is okay and it came on so suddenly and fast. So much grief and devastation.
