On May 23rd, after a long hard battle with cancer, Christopher Lush tragically left us. Lush, as all of his family and friends called him, was the rock of his family and had such a strong bond with his devoted wife Barbara who was right by his side every step of the way. He was the most attentive and nurturing father to his three loving daughters Robin, Jennifer and Vanessa and he was the true definition of a family man. He was in his element when watching the hockey game surrounded by his grandkids - GO HABS GO! He shared a special and unique bond with every one of his grandkids that was absolutely unbreakable.
There is no family that is as tightknit and supportive as the Lushes and they've taught so many people what family is all about simply by being thelselves. If you accidentally knocked on the Lushes' door before entering, you'd be met with strange looks because it was like knocking on your own front door.
Everyone who was lucky enough to know Lush, knows what a beautiful soul he had and how he could light up the room with his witty lines and bright smile. He had this special way about him that made everyone around him feel warm and welcome like you were home, exactly where you were supposed to be. He was the most genuine, kindhearted, welcoming individual and had friends from all walks of life. He impacted the lives of all the people he encountered without even knowing it. We will always carry Lush in our hearts. His legacy of love, togetherness and appreciation for a fine puff will live on forever.
We are reaching out to friends and family far and wide in the hopes that we can support the Lushes in their time of need. All funds raised will go to Barbara Lush and family to put towards funeral expenses and to help financially support Barbara in this very difficult time of mourning. Let's show some love and support to the family that has already given more than we could ever give back.
