The Lunch Boxx was closed without any kind of notice the first week of March 2025.

The Lunch counter did not close because it was failing! Or because I wanted to close! Having the counter was a long-time dream I have had for decades! I loved being there!!

The closure was beyond my control, something to do with the building. Nothing was explained to me!

Had I known in July that I would lose the location after being open for only six months, I would not have poured my time and money, heart & soul into it!

Instead, I was consistently assured that whatever happened with the building would not affect the Lunch Counter.

Meanwhile, I purchased bulk togo containers and ingredients because it is less costly to buy in bulk. January was my busiest month! More and more new customers were coming in all of the time and telling their friends about the Lunch Boxx. Good times were being had by all! My financial projections had me breaking even with start-up costs by my third year in business, maybe sooner.

The Lunch Boxx opened in July of 2024.

Work began in May of that year. Setting up an LLC, DBA, zoning, city & state taxes, DBPR inspections, business insurance, and other certifications were necessary before I could open the business. Purchasing of equipment needed to pass DBPR inspection and zoning. Cleaning & sanitation of the counter. Fresh paint and decor for creating a comfortable and fun environment for my customers.

I am currently facing startup cost debt, which has greatly affected my credit score.

I am not eligible for consolidation loans, nor assistance from various branches of the government or other organizations.

Small business owners do not receive unemployment when such things happen.

Any financial help will be greatly appreciated while I am searching for work during these difficult times.
