Who We Are: The Luke Clinic

At The Luke Clinic, we serve vulnerable families in Detroit by providing life-affirming, free, and compassionate care for moms and babies. Our mission is to eliminate disparities in birth outcomes and create a community where every mother and child has the support they need to thrive.

We walk alongside families facing significant barriers to healthcare, offering prenatal and postnatal care, pediatric care for the baby’s first year, and wraparound services to address basic needs. For many of our families, we are the bridge of hope and healing in times of uncertainty and crisis.

Why We Need Your Help

Over the past year, we’ve seen a growing demand for our services—particularly for families navigating poverty, language barriers, and distrust in the healthcare system. However, due to a significant dip in donations, we are now facing the heartbreaking decision to reduce some of these essential services.

This means fewer moms will receive life-saving prenatal care. Fewer families will experience the support they need to deliver safely. And fewer babies will get the best possible start in life.
