Support the Lopez Family's Farewell

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the untimely departure from the role of the matriarch of the Lopez family, Susanna Lopez. A strong, loving and caring mother with a great sense of humor. She raised 11 kids and helped nurture and protect countless other children from the streets of fifth ward. Having overcome various trials and tribulations endured throughout her life, nothing could have prepared her for her battle with cancer. Her battle, though fierce, was short-lived. Being diagnosed this past summer, she lost her bout to cervical cancer at 69 years old on the morning of February 6, 2025. We are seeking financial assistance to help with all the expenses entailed with laying a loved one to rest. We aspire to raise enough money to transport her body to Mexico after holding a viewing here in Houston so that her family and friends get to say their last goodbyes on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Any contributions, big or small will be greatly appreciated and go along way in accomplishing the families plan. Big thanks to everyone’s love, support, kindness, and generosity in this time of turmoil. Family, friends, and community go along way in the healing process, and all the help is noticed and cherished.
