From his daughters, Misti and Brandi:
If you know our dad, Jack Dickey, you remember him. He is the hardest working man we have ever known. He is willing to do anything for anybody at the drop of a hat. My parents live in Dallas Oregon, on a farm and have a commercial nursery business. This is their livelihood.
Last Wednesday, April 17th, my dad was admitted into the ER with stomach issues and had to have emergency surgery. He had a second surgery on Friday, April 19th, where they had to remove his stomach after being diagnosed with a form of stomach cancer. He was also diagnosed stage 4 prostate cancer.
Dad being dad, actually asked his ER doctor if he was going to be able to make his plant deliveries the next day!
Dad has a VERY long road ahead of him. He has another 10+ days in the hospital and then a rehab facility for an unknown amount of time. We have to take it one step at a time. My parents will no longer be able to operate their nursery, which is their only income.
We’re asking for your help in guiding our parents through the long road that awaits them.
We thank you in advance for your consideration.
With gratitude,
Brandi & Misti Dickey
