With broken hearts, we share the sudden passing of Edward Dean Long on April 19, 2026.

Born on June 28, 1973, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ed was the son of Robert Eldon Long and Carla Starr Talley. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud pappy, and a true friend to so many. More than anything, he was a man who loved deeply, gave freely, and stood strong for the people he cared about.

Ed’s family was his whole world. He was a devoted husband to Jennifer, a loving father to Kylie, Robbie, and Jenica, and a proud pappy who cherished his grandchildren beyond words. His granddaughter Bean was truly his best friend, and their bond was filled with a kind of love and closeness that will never be forgotten. He also shared a special and irreplaceable bond with his only son, Robbie, who will turn 21 in May — a milestone that will now be met with both love and heartbreak in the absence of his dad.

As Christians, we hold tightly to the comfort that Ed is now with the Lord. We trust in God’s promises, even as we walk through the deep pain of losing him so suddenly. While our faith carries us, the family is also facing unexpected funeral, burial, and household expenses during this heartbreaking time.
