Support The Living Canvas Figurative Art Exhibition
Donation protected
I'm thrilled to announce our campaign to bring you the third year of The Living Canvas. What began as a passionate vision to showcase the power and beauty of figurative art has blossomed into a vibrant annual event in the Pittsburgh figurative art scene.
In our first two years, we achieved remarkable milestones:
- Year One: We were overwhelmed by 65 artist submissions and proudly displayed 34 captivating artworks that celebrated the human form.
- Year Two: The excitement grew! We received 93 artist submissions from 37 artists. Our juror selected 29 pieces and curated a stunning exhibition, drawing even more art lovers and fostering meaningful connections between artists and the community.
Now, as we embark on our third year, we're aiming even higher! We envision an even more impactful show, featuring a wider range of talented local artists and offering an enriching experience for all who attend. This year, we anticipate an even greater number of submissions, and along with this year's juror, Nicole Capozzi, we're committed to creating a figurative exhibition to explore and express the human experience through figurative art.
To make this vision a reality, we need your support. Your generous contributions will directly fund crucial costs of our show, including:
- Providing awards - Juror's Award $200, Honorable Mention $100, and People's Choice $50
- Securing studio rental fees and juror fee
- Opening and closing reception to celebrate the artists and their work
- Marketing and promotion to reach a wider audience
By contributing to The Living Canvas III, you're not only supporting an art exhibition, you're investing in the careers of talented artists, fostering cultural enrichment within our community, and championing the enduring power of figurative art.
Every dollar makes a difference. Please consider making a donation and sharing our campaign with your network. Let's make the third year of Living Canvas the most successful and inspiring yet!
Award donations will include naming rights for the award. Donations of $100 or more will be displayed during the exhibition.
Previous year's expenses and this year's budget are available by request. All donations will go to support the operations of the show. In the event donations raised exceed expenses, monies will go towards funding Living Canvas in 2026.
