Help the Littlefield Family Through Cancer Treatment & Insurance Crisis
I am asking for help for one of my closest friends of over 30 years Susan (Gulley) Littlefield. She is not someone who shares personal struggles publicly, but right now her family truly needs support.
In May of 2025, Mike was diagnosed with colon cancer. Since then, he has endured multiple surgeries and is currently undergoing ongoing chemotherapy treatments. Because of the physical demands and policies of his job, his company cannot allow him to return to work until he is fully cleared.
Susan is a stay-at-home mom caring for their four young children: their 9-year-old biological child, two adopted children (ages 7 and 4) whom they welcomed from foster care, and a current 4-year-old foster child in their home. They passionately believe it is their calling from God to care for orphans and the most vulnerable children. Right now, Susan’s full-time role is caring for Mike, transporting him to countless medical appointments, and managing the medical and daily needs of all four children.
Mike initially went on short-term disability and has now transitioned to long-term disability. Unfortunately, they recently discovered that this transition resulted in the cancellation of their employer-provided health insurance. This news came just after they had finally met their insurance deductible. They now have no health insurance coverage for the family at a time when Mike still needs chemotherapy and upcoming surgeries.
They are currently living on just a fraction of their previous income — first reduced to one-quarter, and now closer to one-fifth.
Mike is nearing the end of his treatment plan, with approximately 3–4 months remaining. They are praying for full remission and hope he will be able to return to work by May or June.
If you feel led to give, any amount will help ease the financial burden of medical bills, insurance premiums, and daily living expenses during this incredibly difficult season. If you are unable to give financially, your prayers for complete healing, remission, and peace for this family mean more than you know.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, love, and prayers.
