My mother-in-law and sister-in-law, Cheryl and Siobhan Linton, lost their family home Altadena during the Eaton Fires. They were evacuated with little notice on 1/8 and had to leave with essentially the clothes on their backs and a few personal items. When they returned on 1/9, their home was completely destroyed and they lost cherished family belongings and photos, important documents and their late father's truck.
Cheryl, Siobhan and their family cat Oreo and dog Lincoln are safe and staying with dear friends temporarily.
The Linton family has lived around Altadena, Pasadena and Arcadia for 40+ years and Cheryl and Siobhan moved back to Altadena in 2022, a place where some of their favorite family years were formed. Cheryl is a retired Resource Specialist Teacher of 33 years within the LA school district and Siobhan runs her own house/pet sitting business and is an active member in the community.
We lost Harold 10 years ago and his precious and irreplaceable belongings that carry his memory were lost in the fire.
As our family navigates this heartbreaking devastation, we ask if you could please donate what you can to help Cheryl and Siobhan get back on their feet. As we are unsure of what the next steps will be, these donations will help them in ways that other sources of aid will not cover.
The outpouring love and support from family and friends over the past few days is so appreciated. During these dark times, the support and strength of community is how we survive and can start to rebuild. All of our love goes out to everyone who has been affected by these fires.
Please stay safe, thank you.
With love, The Linton Family
