On January 3rd, the Lichykaki family faced an unimaginable tragedy. They unexpectedly lost Oleksii (43) —a loving father and devoted husband.

Two years ago, Oleksii and Iryna made the courageous decision to leave behind family, friends, and possessions in the Ukraine to build a safer, more secure future for their sons, Dmytro ("Dima") and Denys. Through resilience and hard work, they quickly became a cherished part of our community.

Dima, a former Troy High student, immersed himself in school and athletics, participating in wrestling, football, and rugby while stepping up as a leader amongst his peers. Denys, now a Smith Knight student, has made countless friends and is an enthusiastic student. This close-knit family has touched the hearts of many, often seen supporting one another at events and around the community.

Now, they need our support. This devastating loss has left the family grieving and facing significant financial challenges. Your contribution will help cover funeral expenses, ease financial burdens, and provide stability for Iryna and her sons as they navigate this heartbreaking time.
