On the night of September 26th, Hurricane Helen made landfall with a ferocity that none of us could have ever imagined, leaving behind a trail of destruction in its wake.

Among the many lives disrupted by this disaster are my dear friends, the Legros family-Sebastien, Sandy, Kai, Bryan, and their dog Russel. As the floodwaters rose, their house along with many others suffered significant damage, rendering it uninhabitable, taking not only their shelter but also treasured belongings, all of their furniture, and the children’s toys and belongings.

The Legros family has never been one to ask for help, yet they are always there when others may need it. If you are lucky enough to know them, you can attest to their kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirits.

In these trying times, they need our help more than ever. The expenses for temporary housing, essential repairs, and basic necessities have quickly become overwhelming. The Legros family, like so many others affected by the hurricane, are facing a long road to recovery, and that's where we can make a difference.
