The rescue world especially the pitbull world lost a CHAMPION this week! Mark was an AMAZING human ❤️. He fought every moment of every day for all animals but specially hundreds of dogs (many pitbulls) in the Kansas City community. Mark lead the charge to overturn the pitbull ban in Liberty with his beautiful wife by his side (and many others). He didn't stop there. Mark was a HUGE reason we got the ban overturned in Independence and most recently even Kearney. There were many nights I was would cry endlessly and want to give up when we took on the fight in Independence. His countless calls and texts and even showing up in person literally kept me from giving up. Mark would drop everything to go save an animal in need!! He had a heart for animals in trouble second to no one. As the pitbull loving community of Independence I want us to show our thanks to this great man!! It should surprise no one that in his passing the thing he and his wife asked is that donations be made to an animal rescue. PLEASE let's thank his passion by showing him our thanks. If you can donate even just $5 let us stand with them and show them our gratitude!! We owe him so much! I know times are tight for everyone, if you can't donate please take a moment and say a prayer for those who loved him most during this difficult time!!
