Bradley and I were delivered disappointing news that our landlord wants to sell the property we have made a home of for the past 3 years… and he’s only giving us 2 months to find a new place for rent, or to secure a mortgage on Bradley’s singular income. I was slowly laid off from my job mid-January, and by the time February came around I had all of my work hours eliminated without an official firing. I am in the process of finding work, but the job market is challenging.
Bradley and I have 11 rescue animals: 6 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 chickens — finding a rental home that will be accommodating to our furry and feathery family is going to be a struggle. Moving expenses will add to up to about the same as a down payment for a home, and regardless of whether we move, or not, we would be appreciative of support to stabilize us through this transition.
A lot is hanging in the air right now. Our landlord has not done an official appraisal of our home, so we don’t know if we will qualify for the selling price. This is also putting us into a stage of waiting in securing new housing.
Anything you are able to contribute will help us through this transition, keep food in the bowls for our fur and feather babies, and alleviate the excess stresses that come with an unexpected move.
We appreciate and love you all.
