As a queer family, the recent election results have pushed us to take legal safety measures to ensure our family’s highest protections. This is a step most families don’t have to think about, but it is imperative to ours. Though Thomas is on Nasim’s birth certificate as his father, we have been advised to go one step further and complete a second parent adoption. While this can be (and is) done DIY for some, we are choosing to go through our trusted legal team - which comes at a cost. Therefore we are humbly and with great gratitude asking for help in raising the amount for our legal fees. Even if we are unable to fundraise the entire amount, any portion would be immensely helpful.
