Hi, my name is J.R. Tokin.

For years, I’ve worked as an educator and grower, teaching people how to cultivate plants and fungi responsibly, sustainably, and with respect for the living systems that support us. This work has always been about more than growing — it’s about restoring knowledge, health, and connection at the community level.

Through hands-on education, media, and literally a grassroots outreach, I’ve helped thousands of people learn how to grow their own food, medicines. Along the way, I’ve seen how disconnected many people feel from the natural world — and how empowering it is when they regain that connection.

Tokin’s Roots is the next step.

This project is focused on regenerative education and wellness — sharing practical, accessible knowledge around plants, fungi, soil, and traditional practices that support long-term health and resilience. The goal is to build a foundation that allows this work to be shared more consistently, more sustainably, and with greater reach.

Funds raised will be used to support:

• Educational materials and content creation

• Basic infrastructure and equipment

• Website and platform development

• Community education and outreach

This is not a quick launch or a trend-based project. It’s the continuation of work I’ve already been doing — structured in a way that allows it to grow and serve more people.
