Hey everyone!
My debut novel, Red Summer, is almost complete, and my hope is to have it published by February 2026, with book two releasing shortly after! This will be the start of a 7 book series that has been years in the making!
As many of you know, this book, and this series, has already become a pivotal part of my everyday, and some of you have asked how you can best support me in making this lifelong dream a reality.
After weighing the pros and cons, I have decided to pursue self-publishing, a process I am incredibly excited about. However, going that route does require a bit of investment on the front end.
It would mean the world to me if you'd consider donating toward the creation of this book, and the Stone and Scale project as a whole, to help get this series off the ground.
Any little bit you might be able to contribute would be so wholeheartedly appreciated.
As an added thank you, I would love to gift an ebook copy of Red Summer to anyone who contributes $10 or more, once it's ready for distribution (which may be before the February date, so you'd likely get it in advance of the release date!) Please make sure you include your email in your contribution!
Thank you all so much for believing in me and this story. I can't wait for you to read it!
Enter the Eadar:
What if you spent your whole life wondering who you were, only to discover you don't like what you find?
Seventeen year old Wilder Ansley is being followed. By who? He hasn’t got a clue. By people and creatures no one else can see. That’s a good enough place to start.
To make matters worse, he’s also able to do things that make no sense at all — like unintentionally setting fire to his foster brother's bed. Without a lighter or matches.
Wilder prides himself that recently, aside from a few unfortunate incidents, he’s been able to keep whatever happens when he loses his cool mostly under control. That is until a freak lightning storm alerts the mysterious New Orleans Council to his whereabouts.
And his burgeoning abilities.
Within hours, Wilder is thrown headfirst into a whole new world, hidden behind a Shroud, and it feels more like home than he cares to admit. Despite his initial hesitations, Wilder finds friendship, and maybe something more, among these new strangers. But it turns out uncovering his place in the Eadar might be harder than he thought. Wilder must force himself to face the truth about who everyone else believes him to be—all while a decades long war escalates within and beyond the Shroud, threatening not only the Eadar and his new found friends, but the human world he’s left behind.
Initial readers have compared Red Summer to The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, and Holly Black's Cruel Prince (Folk of the Air Series).
