Help Launch a Northwoods Community Music School For All Ages!

Goal: $15,000
Organizer: Northwoods Music School
Location: Rhinelander, WI
Start Date: Late October

Imagine a place where children and adults don't just learn music — they live it. A space where every student, regardless of age or background, can grow their musical talent and build confidence by performing the songs they learn on stage every four months.
We're launching a performance-based music school designed for kids and adults who want more than just lessons — they want a musical community.

What Makes Us Different:

Unlike traditional music schools, our program includes:

✅ 4 private or small-group lessons per month
✅ 2 band-style rehearsals per month
✅ Live performances every 4 months where students showcase what they've learned in a real concert setting

From the first chord to the final bow, students will learn what it means to play music — together.

How You Can Help:

To get started, we need your support for:
Renting a creative, safe rehearsal/lesson space
Purchasing shared instruments and equipment
Hiring experienced local teachers
Booking venues for performances
Providing scholarships for students with financial need
We plan to keep tuition at $250/month per student, which includes 6 sessions monthly and full performance access. But launching takes an upfront investment — and that’s where you come in.

Why It Matters:

Music builds confidence, creativity, and community. Whether it's a 10-year-old discovering their voice or a 50-year-old finally learning to play guitar, everyone deserves a place to grow musically.
With your help, this school will become a welcoming, inclusive space where music is learned, shared, and celebrated.

Ways You Can Help:

• Donate any amount — every dollar helps
• Sponsor a student for a month ($250)
• Share this campaign with friends, family, and your local community
• Donate gear, rehearsal space, or services

Mission Statement:

To build a vibrant and inclusive musical community in the Northwoods (Rhinelander) where students of all ages grow their skills and confidence through performance-based music education.

I have had some great conversations, feel very optimistic about this, and have a grant and funding meeting this Thursday, 8/7/2025. If goal not met, or doors do not open by end of October or shortly thereafter, all donations will be returned.

Thank you for helping to empower and bring the joy of music to the Northwoods!

UPDATE for 8/7/2025

I met with Oneida County Economic development today, providing an extensive business and marketing plan, looking to secure a $20,000 business loan for this venture.
The meeting went well and will be completing the next steps of the application. If all of that goes well, the timeline for that funding could be 3-6 weeks, keeping in line with projected start date.

Thanks again for checking in and donating, it means so much!
