My dearest family, friends, and acquaintances: I am embarking on a journey to build a mental health and psychoeducation private practice that prioritizes authenticity, compassion, and accessibility. The road to starting my own practice has been challenging but deeply meaningful.

For years, I struggled while working in agencies and private practices whose values didn’t align with my own. I felt that the care people received was often transactional, lacking the depth and human connection necessary for true healing. I knew that if I wanted to create something truly transformative, I had to take a leap and build it myself.

Still, the idea of launching a business felt overwhelming. I wondered if I had the knowledge, skills, and financial ability to make it happen. But through years of experience, learning, and personal reflection, I realized I already had everything I needed to start: the passion, the skills, and the drive to create a space that truly serves individuals in need.

A Legacy of Service:

This journey is also deeply personal. My grandmother, Margaret Ellen Riley, was a woman of profound faith and service. Her kindness, compassion, and belief in helping others shaped me from a young age. This year marks 22 years since her passing, yet her influence on my life remains strong. Honoring her legacy has been central to my decision to launch this private practice, ensuring that her values of service and empathy continue to make an impact in the world. Her initials inspired the name of the private practice; M.indfully E.mpowered R.esults LLC.

I envision a world where mental health care is personal, accessible, and transformative, where authenticity and connection lead to profound healing. Our mission is to provide compassionate therapy, psychoeducation, and individualized treatment plans that empower people to achieve lasting emotional well-being. We are committed to accessibility by accepting commercial insurance, Medicaid (pending), and offering sliding-scale options to ensure care for all.

- Start-up expenses to purchase an electronic health record (EHR) and to purchase a new laptop better equipped to accommodate telehealth therapy sessions.

- Office space and resources for accessible, high-quality therapy.

- Covering sliding-scale and traditionally low Medicaid reimbursements to ensure accessibility to care so financial barriers don’t prevent care.

- Community outreach and psychoeducation to spread awareness and provide support.
