Earlier this month, Desiree was diagnosed with breast cancer after her first routine mammogram. The cancer is ER/PR positive, HER2 negative—terms that are new to her but ones she's quickly learning about. It's been a whirlwind of emotions, but they are thankful that the cancer is small and doesn't appear to have spread.

Desiree's surgery is slated for July 24th. Post-surgery, she will undergo radiation treatment from Monday to Friday for 4-6 weeks.
