Dear friends and family. Most of you know the news by now. Lynda passed away peacefully this morning at 4:44AM. Such an angelic number, her way of saying its going to be OK. And i know that, we all know that. She was so loved and will be forever remembered by those close to her. I am updating this GoFundMe to help with costs associated with loss of a loved one. Mika, Kaitlyn and I will be working tirelessly to clean things up at her property, care for her 4 dogs and manage everything that comes with the loss of a loved one.
Your donations are greatly appreciated as we take time off from work to manage these things. Some of our friends have opted to bring us meals - which is so appreciated as we grieve. Our house is lacking as we grieve if anyone would like to come forward and help us clean one day this week or something, that would be very helpful.
Just keep us in your prayers, please. We need all the love we can get at this difficult time. If you would like to share a prayer, a memory or words of encouragement, you can mesage us on facebook or here.
Thanks everyone.
I am reaching out to the community of loved ones dear to the Kuch family in hopes of help, in any form. Be it prayers or a financial blessing to help solidify the support my mother so desperately needs at this time in her life. She means the world to me and my sister, my wife, her grandchildren, her mother and all of those who have been blessed to know her. She has a very hard battle with a lot of support needed from all of us. It takes a village to raise a kid and i would like to believe that same village that helped grow her into the amazing woman she is today can step in once more to help her. We really need the help. If you know her, drop off a meal or coordinate with us. toiletries are needed. She needs accessibility upgrades to both of her bathrooms and extensive cleaning in her house to keep her well. Should the worst happen, we will also need support for end-of-life care and beyond.
Potential Uses for the funds generated by this GoFundMe:
- In-home care
- end of life support
- medical procedures not covered by insurance or co-pays
- daily living expenses
- home accessibility upgrades- grab bars, seating, new bathtub/shower, ramps
In late 2024 my mother began having a myriad of serious medical diagnosis, beginning with pneumonia that damaged her heart and nearly took her life. She fought through and quit lifelong additions (smoking and drinking) at a chance for an extended life to spend precious moments with her mother, her children and her grandchildren. If all you can afford to do is Share this to your Facebook- it would help to give her a chance at getting more of those memories. She fought hard and it looked like we might win that battle but then she was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. The cancer starting in her lungs has aggressively and rapidly spread to her liver, and bones. She has already been struggling with congestive heart failure since December and during this time fell and fractured her hip. Her back from years of packing and now this disease. She is still fighting, but tiring. She begins Chemo soon but with mobility issues worsening she will need assistance 24/7 likely. This means that Derick, Kaitlyn and Betty Kuch will all be helping her as much as we can. Betty is up there in her golden years but is doing as much as she can to help, exhausting what little resources she can offer. Derick and Kaitlyn are spending 2-3 days a week with her currently helping her with an aging house, cooking meals, cleaning, taking out trash-everything she needs help with. We expect our time with her only to increase as this evolves. This is affecting their finances as well, they operate businesses themselves and have some flexibility but it is causing a large disturbance in their finances.
Amid all the scary "your mom is in the ER, She is inchoherent" calls we have had so much hardship. This gofund me is for my mother but Let me share a little backstory on how things have been going up until this point for my wife and I. We took our truck in to get fixed and found out its totaled (18,000 to fix), issues with other cars. Then nearly lost my mother twice, once to her heart and another she became completely incoherent- we had to invoke power of attorny. While she was in the ER- we went to her house to take care of her dogs/get her some things and found her room-mate dead on the couch. I don't know how much more mental burden we can take at this point.
I will continue to update this GoFundMe with how things progress and keep all of you informed on how things are doing. This will be a battle no matter how it goes, but please help us with prayers and share this page more then anything else if you can.
I will be looking into promising therapies involving cancer research, pilot programs, etc. while evaluating the risks associated to hopefully get her the best help we possibly can.
