Humility by definition is the freedom of pride. I write this on behalf of my Brother, Sister, Nephew, and Niece. Asking for help is not an easy thing to do but we’ve reached the point to put pride aside and lean into receiving help.
One year ago, this week our lives forever changed. Danielle and Kaleb went to work on their usual night shifts not knowing that it would be the last time that life as they knew it would forever change. Danielle was at the hospital (she’s a nurse) and had a seizure and woke up to the Doctors informing her they found a tumor in her Brain a Grade IV Astrocytoma and was immediately transported to another hospital for emergency surgery.
Danielle has been a warrior this past year undergoing radiation and continuous chemotherapy. The tumor reared its ugly head again and she recently had another surgery on her brain and the battle continues.
This journey is a mountain that the family continues to climb every day with hope and strength, thanks to God, the loving support system in their community and friends and family that lift them in prayer and surround them with the love they need. Kaleb continues to work and maintain the daily responsibilities and Danielle continues to fight for her health while still being one of the best moms in the world to Lincoln and Emmylou and wife to Kaleb.
This fight does not come without a price. Losing an income with no option to replace it is having a significant impact on the family and their needs.
If you feel called to support in anyway, financially, prayers, a hand to support with any needs it is greatly appreciated and received with immense gratitude.
With love,
