We are devastated to share that our beloved Aunt Patricia suffered a fatal brain injury after an accidental fall this past weekend. Our cousins AJ, Kurk and Michael, and the entire Koziel family, are now managing immeasurable sadness and shock to be losing their Mom, just barely a month after their Dad, our Uncle Alan, very sadly passed from a long battle with cancer.
Patricia and Alan had been together since 1968, and were married for an amazing fifty-six years. Their love and marriage had weathered many storms and health problems. Their loving family has been an inspiration as they met life’s challenges with remarkable lifelong tenacity, optimism and togetherness. My Uncle Alan was a Vietnam era veteran, and who undoubtedly had cancers related to agent orange exposure.
He and my dear Aunt Patricia had a lifelong love that I know inspired us all. They were always generous of spirit and helped many a soul even outside of their immediate family. Their home was a welcoming and nurturing refuge to many and for that they have had a broad and beautiful community of friends. I personally cannot measure their thoughtfulness throughout my life.
We’ve put together this page to encourage family and friends to provide needed support to the Koziel family at this very difficult time. This support will assist them with managing compounded medical bills, outstanding financial obligations left behind and memorial services.
No family should have to go through this much adversity, but our hope is we can ease at least some of their burden with love, and some financial support at this terrible time. We thank you in advance for all your kindness, support and love.
