On October 17, 2019, life changed forever for Jason, his wife Nicole, and their two children—Jayda, just 4 years old at the time, and Cole, only 9. Jason was diagnosed with Philadelphia Chromosome Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Ph+ALL), a rare and aggressive blood cancer.

No one can ever prepare for those words. What followed was a long, brutal fight—one that no family should ever have to face. But Jason fought with everything he had. With cutting-edge treatment, the dedication of an incredible medical team, and the unwavering love and strength of Nicole and the kids, Jason achieved the unthinkable: remission.

After surviving what felt like the impossible—not just cancer, but the isolation of a global pandemic—their family finally began to breathe again. They chose to start fresh in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a place that brought them peace, joy, and healing. It’s where we met them. And from the first moment, we knew—we weren’t just friends. We were family.

But now, heartbreakingly, Jason’s cancer is back. And it's back fast.

There was no time to wait. Within days, Jason and his family had to leave their home and fly back to New Jersey to begin immediate treatment with the care team that first helped save his life. This first phase of treatment will last more than three weeks—and it’s only the beginning. Jason is facing an intensive, year-long battle that will include chemotherapy, countless hospital stays, and a bone marrow transplant.

Nicole is by his side, doing everything she can to hold her family together. Jayda is now 10, and Cole is 14—old enough to understand too much, and yet too young to have to bear this kind of fear. They miss their father. They miss their home. And yet, they remain hopeful. Brave. Loving. This is what cancer steals from families—the time, the normalcy, the small comforts.

• Flights and travel between South Carolina and New Jersey so Jason can stay connected with his family and receive the treatment he needs

• Meals and basic living expenses while Nicole and there children are away from home, supporting Jason every step of the way
