Hi, my name is Lucy and I am the Auntie of Ronnie & Charlie, Sister to Barry & Sister in Law to Emily, Ronnie's Parents. Ronnie was diagnosed with Leukaemia back in January 2024, 2 weeks after his 1st Birthday. Over the last year and a half he has been under the care of the amazing staff at The Royal Marsden & Brighton Hospital, who we as a Family could not be more grateful for. He has been through so much treatment which he has endured severe side effects due to the intensive chemotherapy. Like the true warrior he is, he was in remition until a month ago when he relapsed and now has Leukemia for the second time. As a result of this he has to now undergo more intensive treatment at Great Ormond Street over the next 3 months and into 2026.
As you can imagine, since his first diagnosis in January 2024 this has been a huge strain mentally, emotionally and financially on Ronnie's Parents as they had to give up work to care for him. His treatment was set to end in February 2026, but as a result of Ronnie's relapse this is going to impact them a lot longer than anyone thought.
After shouldering the financial burden since diagnoses, Barry & Emily's financial resources are compeletely depleted. Barry & Emily are extremely proud people and have not asked anyone for any financial support thoughout the duration of this nightmare. They have not taken this decision lightly to let me create this fundraising page for them but we know how much this will mean to them and to shift this awful financial struggle they are in.
To enable Barry & Emily to financially get through this next step of this unimaginable Leukemia battle of Ronnie's, this is where I need the help of all you amazing people out their. Starting as early as next week (Ronnie now being 2 years and 9 months old) they will be taking endless trips to Great Ormond Street and a have a lengthy stay in hospital whilst Ronnie is having this CAR-T therapy, and still having to manage the costs of living & additional costs this has incurred.
Any donations, no matter how big or small would be massively appreciated by us all as we enter into the next phase of Ronnie's Leukemia Journey. We can't take away the emotional pain they go through daily, but we can take away some of the financial stresses by doing this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and Barry & Emily will be eternally grateful for any support through this horrific journey.
