Support Steve & Sherry Kleinman in Their Post-Fire Recovery

THANK YOU for your interest in helping Steve and Sherry Kleinman after the Palisades Fire destroyed their home on 1/9/25. Thankfully they and their pets evacuated and are safe, but they have lost the house and belongings.

We are so appreciative of the outpouring of support from so many people in their lives (and our lives) from over many years and around the world. Your love and support for our parents and family means the world to us. We are gutted by the loss of our family home and all the memories, good times, artwork, and love that was created there.

While our parents are not ones to ask for help or money, there are of course many things in the short and long term which will be needed to help them reconstruct their day to day lives (not to mention the 36 years in their beloved home and 47 years in the Pacific Palisades community). Adding to the short-term needs is our dad’s recovery from 13 broken bones and emergency spinal surgery following an unfortunate hiking accident near their house on 12/30/24.

We have set up this fund for anyone interested in helping them, if so inclined. So many are in need right now across L.A., and we appreciate support of any kind for all the people of this city! Your help will allow them to cover the many aspects of recovery and support not covered by aid or insurance.

Please continue to call or text them to check in, go for walks, play cards, etc. Friends and family are what will get us all through this! They especially mourn the loss of their Herradura and Highlands dog park community and the ability to see friends and neighbors which they hold so dear.
