Support the Kharie Family's Loss

It is with great sorrow that we announce that our beloved Sarwar Jan Kharie passed away on December 28, 2021. He was 52 years of age. In February of 2021, Sarwar was diagnosed with stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer.) Although the doctors told him that his care would be palliative from the very beginning, his family held hope that he would be able to beat this rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Within months, his physical and mental capabilities diminished making him unable to work and continue supporting his family. Sarwar was the sole income earner of his household. He leaves behind a wife and five children as young as 7. As the family adjusts to this great loss, we are asking to help assist in making the burden light on his family. Please direct any contributions to the family’s transition to this Gofundme. All contributions will be used to support the family directly with daily living expenses, paying off debts and expenses that were accumulated due to Sarwar’s cancer diagnosis, and providing services, such as therapy, for the family to support their mental health until they are able to better navigate their new reality.
