Running Mt. Hood 25K to raise funds for The Kern Project which is a 501C3 nonprofit that rescues dogs and cats in Kern County, California. The principles ore owners of dog grooming in Mill Valley and Corte Madera, CA. The goal of "The Kern Project is to raise awareness of unwanted animals, to help animals in need, and to fund spay/neuter efforts." They choose "Kern County due to the massive animal overpopulation problem. Shelters are overflowing, the streets are full of abandoned animals and people are surrending pets at alarming rates."
