What is the KB Dance Hub?

The KB Dance Hub is a brand-new cultural hub in the heart of Brussels, designed to support and nurture the growing community of dancers, movers, and creative minds across the city. This space will be a home to explore, create, and connect as a novice, a professional, or simply passionate about movement,

We aim to bring people together through dance and movement practices, providing a space where creativity, cultural exchange, well-being, and social cohesion can thrive — regardless of age, background, gender, or experience level.

Why Brussels Needs This Space

Brussels is a city full of vibrant talent, but quality dance spaces are in short supply. Many studios lack the proper equipment — like mirrors, sprung floors, and accessible facilities — making it difficult for artists, teachers, and organizations to find a safe and inspiring place to work.

The KB Dance Hub is stepping in to fill this gap.

We’ve secured a spacious, fully accessible location on Rue Arlon at Place Luxembourg, right in the heart of the European Quarter. This area is in high demand but lacks dedicated movement spaces. Our venue includes two fully equipped studios that will become a home for:

What are the funds for?

With our own personal funds and donations from this crowdfunding campaign we will purchase the necessary materials to equip the space for dance (dance floor, ballet barres, mirrors, curtains) as well as general start-up costs and materials (office supplies, desks, chairs, office supplies, furniture) for the the office and meeting spaces. About the project owner:

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Briana Ashley Stuart is an international performing artist, dancer, choreographer and dance entrepreneur.

She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BFA in dance and a BA in sociology. Since graduating, she has worked internationally as an independent artist and with a number of companies and artists, including StepAfrika!, SJEwing & Dancers, ZIKIT, 4Hoogkindertheater, Lila Magnin, and Gorges Ocloo. Currently she lives in Brussels, Belgium where she produced and premiered her latest work Moving Meditations, a multidisciplinary work about healing at KVS Brussels on March 25, 2023, which was the first step in her research into percussive dance and movement and sound in space. More about her artistic interests and works can be seen in her introspective dance lecture "Stepping: Freedom in Form" produced by the BOZAR museum in Brussels, and more recently her dance lecture "How to Unveil the Secret Power of Movement and Sound to Create" at TEDxBrussels in May 2023.

In addition, Briana created STU Arts Dance, an arts consultancy organization that upholds the values of community, culture & cooperation through the art of dance. With a focus on social sustainability, they utilize dance and movement as a means of personal and professional development through engaging dance performances for special events, team building activities, seminars, conferences, and the Everyone Can Dance Program. The weekly dance program for adult beginners is a safe and inclusive space for the international, English-speaking community in Brussels to enjoy movement to build confidence, creativity, and connection and community through movement.

Khushboo Agarwal is an international dancer, choreographer and teacher who explores the fusion between Bollywood and Hip-hop.

She has been performing since she was 7 years old and has experience choreographing performances for dance recitals, competitions, and special events. In 2022 she founded For the Love of Bollywood, a dance program that promotes Indian and fusion dance styles within weekly dance classes, workshops and intensives. Throughout the year, FTLOB hosts a variety of local and international artists who bring new styles and fresh perspectives to the Brussels dance scene.

In addition to regular classes, she performs at various cultural events across Belgium with her students. She has led Indian dance workshops and performed at the Indian Food Festival Brussels in 2023 and 2024 and Gent Diwali 2024, among other events. Since 2022, she has also been performing in dance productions and national and international cultural events with A Bollywood Company (ABC) based in Gent, Belgium. She also helps the company with the organization of the annual Gent India Dance Festival.
