Salam Aleykum, dear brothers and sisters,

My name is Batter Kadkoy, and I am writing on behalf of my family. This fundraiser was not an idea we came to on our own—it was recommended and encouraged by our respected community leader, Imam Hamid Shublak of the Circassian Benevolent Association. With his guidance, and the support of our community, we humbly present this campaign.

Our Father’s Struggle

Two and a half years ago, my father suffered a severe infection that nearly took his life. He endured three major operations and was left with eight mini-strokes across his brain. Since then, his health has been fragile. He requires monthly emergency room visits, and continues to battle life-threatening complications such as pneumonia and cellulitis. Even the smallest cut or infection puts him in grave danger.

As a family, we have devoted ourselves to his care. We provide round-the-clock support, ensure he receives treatment, and do everything possible to protect him. But despite our resilience, this trial has stretched into years, and the burden of medical bills, debts, and rising living costs has now gone beyond what we can carry alone.

Our Family’s Values

Our father is a proud Circassian, and he and our mother instilled in us the values of dignity, perseverance, and faith. For years, we have endured hardship without seeking help publicly (though we sincerely thank those who gave support freely at the time). We managed when we lost our car, when our home needed urgent repairs, and even through our own personal health struggles.

But today, we come to you not from a place of weakness, but from a place of hope. By the grace of Allah Subhannahu Wa Ta'ala, The Most Generous, we have survived the worst. Now, for the first time, we wish not only to survive but to grow again, rebuild, and stand strong.

When our father, Insha’Allah, recovers and opens his eyes, we want him to see that his family—and his Circassian community—stood by him with love, strength, and faith.

A Call for Support

We know these are difficult times for everyone, and we cannot claim that this campaign alone will free us from our burdens. But even the smallest contribution, or the simplest prayer, is meaningful beyond words.

On behalf of my entire family, I thank you for taking the time to read our story and for standing with us. May Allah reward our Imam, Hamid Shublak, and our brother Bibert Kaghado for spearheading this effort, for their wisdom, and for uplifting our spirits through these long years.
