Support the Jones Family After Devastating Flood
Donation protected
Home: the place you can always come back to... until Helene.
We lovingly call our childhood home on Cane River "The Farm". This home still housed my parents and 2 siblings, who watched from the hill as the flood waters took everything but the house and vehicles. The water filled the basement and part of the main floor.
Now the landscape from our childhood has changed forever, the safe haven it once was for our family is now a place of such uncertainty, isolation and devastation.
We are still assessing the damage and salvaging what we can of personal belongings. We have limited access and no power until roads are rebuilt.
While we work hard to restore some semblance of what was, there are things we have to accomplish now for stability for my displaced family. The Lord, who brought my family safely through the flood waters, has also given us generous family, church family and friends to help support us in providing for our immediate needs. This is going to be a long road with no idea what the future holds... Can we repair the damage or will it be condemned? When will the roads be rebuilt? What about power?
So our goal is to secure long term housing. Housing was already scarce and unaffordable before this, which makes this a mentally and financially daunting task. If you can donate we would greatly appreciate it, but we covet your prayers as we navigate this.
