Support the Jimenez Reyes Family After the Eaton Fires

Hi, I am Labid Aziz, proud resident of beautiful Altadena and proud parent and PTA member of Altadena Arts Magnet (AAM). I am writing and reaching out on behalf of our beloved friends and neighbors, Ernesto Jimenez and Delhy Reyes, and their two wonderful sons, Alexander (10) and Dylan (7). Not only did our kids take Kung-Fu together for almost 3 years, Delhy is a dedicated member of the PTA at AAM, and Ernesto is a familiar face, always ready to lend a hand in our community. Together, they are true pillars of our Altadena Community.

As many of you know, the Eaton Fires have brought unimaginable devastation to our community, causing the loss of homes, businesses, and livelihoods. While the Reyes family was blessed not to lose their home, they are facing significant challenges. Delhy works as a house cleaner, but with many of her clients having lost their homes, her source of income has vanished overnight. Meanwhile, Ernesto, an incredible chef, recently left his position as a sous chef to pursue his dream of launching a catering business. He was in the process of building his brand and catering events, but with much of his customer base affected by this disaster, he too finds himself without a source of income.

The uncertainty of how to provide for their children and secure their future during this difficult time must be overwhelming. The Reyes family has always brought joy and inspiration to those around them, and now they need our support to navigate through this crisis.

I invite you to contribute to their GoFundMe campaign. Whether you can give a little or a lot, every donation will make a meaningful difference in helping this amazing family regain their footing. Let's rally together to uplift them and show that our community stands strong and supportive during times of hardship. The funds will be used to cover their living expenses (rent, food, clothes, etc) as we face complete uncertainty over the next 6-12 months, if not longer.
