My name is Kathy Ingram, Jason's mother. Sadly, my life changed dramatically on the night of November 28, 1993. Our son Jason died as a result of a car wreck that Thanksgiving weekend. I would say that the town of Colonial Heights began to cry, the surrounding High Schools were saddened, especially athletics, CHHS began to weep along with me and my family. Friends from far and near contacted us to offer condolences for our great loss. His Coaches stayed in close contact in the coming days.

Mark Smith, a dear high school friend and talented athlete, and his family asked us if they could sponsor a Scholarship at CHHS in Jason's memory. We thankfully agreed.

The criteria for the scholarship is to write letters of

gratitude to 3 individuals who have been the "Wind beneath my wings". The Scholarship has been ongoing for lots of years, funding this mission that is very dear to our hearts.
