Support the Irvin Family: A Call for Compassion

It is with great dismay that I share this story. On the evening of April 16th, 2025, I received a call from one of my employees, Todd Irvin, informing me that he would not be reporting to work the following morning. Concerned by the tone of his voice, I asked if everything was alright.

What Todd shared left me speechless. He was standing outside his home, watching as the brave first responders of the Folsom Fire Department battled the flames engulfing his family’s home.

Earlier that evening, Todd and his wife, Heather, had been enjoying a movie night at the park in Covington. They were interrupted by a call from Todd’s parents, who live nearby, delivering the devastating news that their home was on fire.

Todd and Heather rushed home, only to find firefighters desperately pouring gallons upon gallons of water onto the blaze. Despite their valiant efforts, the fire consumed everything the Irvin family had worked for over the years. By 1 AM, the fire was extinguished—only to reignite around 5 AM.

As Todd stood with Heather, watching their family home reduced to ashes, the weight of the tragedy began to sink in. Their home was a total loss. Todd shared with me that they had lost nearly everything: irreplaceable family photographs, cherished possessions, and even two of their beloved dogs. Only one of their pets made it out safely.

Todd’s words still echo in my mind: "Man, I don't know what to do. We only have the clothes on our backs and the shoes on our feet."

This tragic loss left Todd, Heather, and their young son, Cooper, with nothing but each other. Hearing Todd's despair sparked a thought in me: How can I help? What can I do?

We are all in this together. As a community, we have the power to bring hope and relief to a family that has been devastated in the blink of an eye.

There’s a saying, “One night can change your whole life.” For the Irvin family, this couldn’t be truer.
