PLEASE SUPPORT the Igoe Family After a Tragic Loss

Sadly, I am here with a broken heart with Joe Igoe's families permission to ask everyone whether you know him or his family to PLEASE find It in your hearts to help me to help them. They want to bring awareness to this serious tragedy that has destroyed ALL their hearts. They also need help with funeral expenses and unpaid bills like rent and groceries etc. This was a married Man with 5 children. His most valuable gifts of his life. On the morning of September 18, 2024 after years and a few attempts Joe Igoe did the unthinkable. Yes, he took his life. Between 830am when his oldest daughter seen him sleeping on the sofa downstairs and 1130am when his youngest son (20 year old ) found him, Joe hung himself with a rope to end his life here on earth. Jasyn screamed for his mother and Joann (Joes wife of 36 yrs) came running to the basement. This is when the two of them lifted him up out of the rope and began CPR until EMS arrived. Just image a son and a mother trying to save a man their father, husband. I just CAN'T !!! Unfortunately, it was to late. Depression is beyond real and mentally health is also. Men especially are overlooked when they are truly suffering for these issues sadly. When someone tells you or shows you signs we as the people need to try and help a person to get the help they need ASAP. A LOT, of men refuse help as Joe has many times in the past unfortunately. Suffering with a racing mind day in and day out will put you in a bad depression and bring on suicidal thoughts, it is something you can't get out of without seeking help. Most men don't want to put their pride aside to help themselves medically as Joe didn't. Joe and Joann have a 26 yr old daughter Taydra (TayTay) who was born with a rare disease TUBEROUS SCLEROSIS (a disease that attacks your major organs with tumors), has had 3 brain surgeries, kidney surgery, since Taydra was 10 yrs old Joann had to quit working to care for their daughter who's disease was becoming more intense and also brings on multiple seizures daily along with going through brain surgeries etc. this left Joe the SOLE provider of his family from that day forward. Joe worked 7 days a week from Sun up to sundown and it continued when he came home from work to help with household chores and caring for Taydra. Joann and Joe have NO life insurance and NO savings they literally lived pay check to paycheck. This man fought daily for survival for his family and himself. That in itself is exhausting. He was like an energize bunny. Lack of sleep and caring for himself most definitely caused underlying health issues I'm sure but Joe didn't like to go to doctors and felt he didn't have time. What Joe did was go to work to make the money to provide for his family to make it through another day. For all these years, Joe made it happen to care for his whole entire family every single day. In, December 2020 an incident happened while Joe was caring for his daughter Taydra. Her disease causes brittle bones and she broke her leg Joe blamed himself. In February 2021 two months after this Joe attempted suicide by taking over 150 pills and spent 2 weeks in the hospital 10 of those days on a ventilator. AMC sent him home with a number of a doctor to call to seek psychological help which he never did. Just two weeks prior to his last event that he succeeded at he tried to take his life but that didn't go as planned and he refused help at that time as well. This man was truly suffering and obviously just overwhelmed for so many years but always pushed his way through for his family everyday. I sat with this family the whole day after this tragedy and It truly wholeheartedly broke my heart as a mother a wife etc. to just watch and see this family questioning the what ifs, the whys, etc. what tore me up as a mother was watching and listening to a 20 yr old young adult tell his story of how he found his dad. The worry of how they were going to survive financially, and how he is now the man of the house and he has to figure how to provide for his family. He is such a beautiful child who works for the GOODWILL and makes his own shirts and hoodie to sell to make money. COVID held him back from graduating from high school but he finally did it!! Watching and listening to Mandy his daughter who I absolutely adore crying and screaming for her Daddy, asking me to bring her to get her daddy telling me he isn't to far to pick up, shattered my heart because I couldn't help her. I have been a lifetime friend of the Igoe family since my oldest son was a baby. Joann did my bridal parties hair for my wedding in 1997 when she was employed as a hairdresser at Hot Looks in Northway Mall. She was moms hairdresser as well and my mom adored Joann. In 2022 their 30 yr old daughter Mandy was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma and as of right now is in remission THANKFULLY. I helped with a GoFundMe for her and everyone came together to help her make things less stressful for her then. Now, I am asking for EVERYONE who sees this to PLEASE not scroll past this but to find it somewhere in your heart to help this family financially to get through this difficult time. Nobody should have to beg for help financially while grieving the death of their loved one who took his life tragically because he was struggling so badly.
