Our son Troy is an epic 18-year-old with a with a heart of gold, he is known for his infectious smile, warm personality and his dedication to helping others. Whether he’s fundraising for his Belrose Eagles team, volunteering at the community pantry, or serving as a Healthy Futures Ambassador at Energize Gym, Troy is always there to lend a hand.

On May 11th, 2024, during what should have been a routine game of footy, our world changed, in an instant. Just minutes into the match, due to a freak incident, Troy was knocked out cold, suffering a severe concussion, missing teeth, a fractured jaw and carried off with suspected spinal injury. What started as a game he loved became a nightmare.

Insurance covered part of initial dental surgery, but it barely scratched the surface.

Troy has already undergone a bone graft, two implants, and four root canals, with more major dental work ahead. We’re still facing a long road to restore his smile and spirit.

Troy is currently focusing on recovery and looking forward to normality which includes fitness, uni and securing a job.

We’ve done everything we can as parents but the costs are now overwhelming, with no more health coverage to claim on. That’s why we’re asking for your help.
