Support the Householder Family
As a lot of you may know and some of you may come to learn through their story, this family has been through a lot this year. Bear with me while I share their story.
In February of 2020, Michelle had a major Seizure and was hospitalized for an extended period of time. Due to this, she was unable to return to work and could not drive or conduct normal life. Scott was tasked with not only working full time but also taking care of the home, children and Michelle. He has fought with the insurance companies and the short term disabilities part of their claims, all while maintaining the household.
In September they were finally able to get Michelle in to see a neurologist. They were able to induce another seizure and truly find out what was going on with her. She is still down and out and isn’t feeling 100%, but on the road to recovery.
On Tuesday September 22, Scott went to the emergency room with abdominal pain. He was admitted to the hospital with Diverticulitis. He continued to get worse and it was later discovered he had a ruptured colon. He underwent emergency surgery and is currently in the hospital, leaving Michelle responsible for maintaining the household chores and the day to day activities with the children.
This is one of the most humble families I know and the help and offers of assistance keep coming in from everywhere! Their friend and family base is truly amazing and extremely supportive. After talking with Michelle last night, she stated she was overwhelmed by the out pouring of people wanting to help and she couldn’t believe the response! She has asked that I start this up so people can help if they want and that way they can pay the help forward after this is over.
Please keep this amazing family in your prayers. Let’s hope that the rest of 2020 leaves this family alone! 2021 is this family’s year and I hope we can all help to make that possible.
