Help Shawn and Patricia Hooe Rebuild After a Devastating Fire
*If you would like to make a tax deductible donation please do so thru Acts4others.org*
The Hooe family’s home has suffered significant fire damage due to an electrical fire, leaving them with no electricity or water for the foreseeable future. We’re reaching out to this amazing community on their behalf to ask for support as they face this overwhelming challenge.
While their hearts are heavy with the aftermath of this tragedy, Shawn and Patricia are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, encouragement, and private donations they’ve already received. Your kindness has truly been a source of strength during this unimaginable time.
Asking for help is never easy, and needing help can feel even harder. That’s why we’re stepping up for Shawn and Patricia during this difficult moment. In addition to the fire’s destruction, they’ve recently faced medical issues, further compounding the challenges they now face as they work to restore their home of many years on Trinity Street.
Shawn has been a proud resident of Decatur for all of his 63 years and has built his life in this beloved hometown. If you’ve ever had your vehicle serviced at James Wood Motors, chances are you’ve been helped by Shawn, who has always been a friendly and dependable face in our community.
The family is now facing significant challenges, and ALL donations will go directly toward:
Temporary housing
Immediate needs (food, clothing, and basic essentials)
Caring for their cherished pets
Rebuilding and restoring their home, including new electrical work, water damage repair, painting, and more
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. Whether you’re able to donate, share this campaign, or keep the Hooe family in your prayers, your support means everything to them during this time of need.
Thank you for rallying behind Shawn, Patricia, and their family. Together, we can help them rebuild their home and their lives.
We are so grateful to live in such a caring and compassionate community.
