Sawyer's Strength: Help the Holloway Family

I hope this message finds you well. Today, I come to you with a heartfelt request for support on behalf of the Holloway Family. They are facing a challenging time as their bright and energetic 6-year-old son, Sawyer, has been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, a condition that affects his development, including Apraxia. With gratitude, they have found an exceptional neurosurgeon who will be performing a crucial brain surgery to help alleviate Sawyer's condition on Friday, June 16th. As they prepare for this life-changing event, they require our support, both in prayers and financial assistance.

Sawyer is finishing his Kindergarten year at Rogers Elementary. He loves playing t-ball, skiing, and enjoying the simple pleasures of childhood. Sawyer's family is deeply committed to his well-being and have been tireless advocates in seeking the best medical care available.

Sawyer's family has already endured significant emotional and financial hardships during their journey. Unexpected medical expenses and the need for specialized treatment have taken a toll on their resources. The news of Sawyer's surgery came as a shock, intensifying their financial burdens during an already challenging time. It has only been a few short months since this diagnosis and recommended surgery. Sawyer may also require an additional surgery, this won’t be clear until after his first surgery.

As a community, we can rally together to alleviate some of this stress and support the Holloway Family during this critical period.

Your generous donations will play a pivotal role in helping the Holloway Family focus on Sawyer's surgery and his subsequent recovery without the added burden of financial strain. Although the family has secured additional health insurance that will cover the cost of surgery they have paid thousands in medical bills this far. Your assistance will assist additional medical costs, travel and everyday living expenses during this difficult time.

Sawyer's mother, Allyson, is a dedicated teacher who often works over the summer to make ends meet. However, due to the demands of Sawyer's surgery and recovery, she will be unable to work this year. The loss of income, combined with medical bills, has added to the family's stress. Let us come together to ensure that Allyson can focus on her son's well-being and support him throughout his recovery without financial worries.

Sawyer is a Berkley resident, a student first at Building Blocks and now at Rogers. He plays T-ball for Berkley Dads Club where his mom has been an Assistant Coach this year. Now, more than ever, we have the opportunity to rally around this brave little boy and his family. Together, we can make a tangible difference in their lives and demonstrate the power of compassion and community support.
