Support The Hiatt Family in Their Time of Loss

Donation protected
The Hiatt Family lost their beloved 10-year-old son and brother unexpectedly Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Westin Lane Hiatt was full of life, a devout Christian, even at such a young age. He was known to share scripture, help with music, and even sneak away from his daddy at church so he could get up front with the preacher and pray with others during altar call. Though Westin’s life ended sooner than anyone would have imagined, his impact will be everlasting. This family has experienced the unimaginable, one that has left them heartbroken, confused, and deeply saddened. Even with their world crumbling, they have shown faith, love, and compassion for the friends and family who are sharing their grief—a true testament to the legacy Westin leaves behind. The outpouring of love, in such a short time, has been both overwhelming and greatly appreciated. This GoFundMe is a way to ensure our support for this family can be used in ways they need it most.

The Hiatt’s are small business owners who share their construction skills with many throughout our community. Beyond the emotional devastation, a loss of this magnitude creates hardships and strain. This hardworking crew will bounce back; however, they need a little time to catch their breath and heal.

By donating, you will be assisting with the unexpected costs this family faces. The days ahead should be spent processing, honoring Westin, and loving on one another. Financial strain and responsibility shouldn’t be part of their burden at this time. Outside of increased expenses, the family wishes to start a memorial scholarship fund in memory of their precious Westin. Any funds raised exceeding their immediate needs will be used to set up this scholarship and plan future benefits to commemorate Westin’s life.

Thank you for your kindness, compassion, love, and consideration in this family’s darkest hour. Thank you for your willingness to shine light into that darkness. Westin Lane Hiatt was a light to all who knew him. If we can share a fraction of the light Westin did, this world will certainly be a much brighter place.

Thank you again.

Update: I am in awe by the outpouring of love shown by our community, friends and family. I pray you know the impact you are making, the burdens you are lifting, and the light you are shining. Thank you seems so insignificant compared to what you all have done in such a short time, but with every ounce of my soul, I am grateful for each and every prayer, donation, and every ounce of love given to Kim, Jay and their family. Please continue to lift The Hiatt’s up in prayer, continue to share your graciousness and love with them in the days to come. Again, “thank you” feels very small compared to what’s being done here, but still I thank you. Thank you, one thousand times over.
