George Herring is a dedicated employee and a valued member of our community. He has always worked hard to support his family, despite living with type one diabetes and the daily challenges that come with managing his health. Even on the toughest days, George shows up for his loved ones and for our business, determined to provide for his family.

His wife, Karen, is a breast cancer survivor who has already faced more than her share of hardship. After enduring radiation and chemotherapy, she was on the road to recovery. Just a few weeks ago, however, Karen received devastating news: her cancer had spread to her brain. She is now undergoing another round of radiation, facing this new battle with the same courage and determination that carried her through her first fight with cancer.

George and Karen’s 9-year-old daughter, Felicity, is their pride and joy. Felicity lives with Dravet Syndrome, a rare and severe seizure disorder that requires constant care and attention. Despite frequent hospital visits and the need for special medications, Felicity continues to smile through her toughest days, inspiring her parents to keep going no matter how many times life knocks them down.

The Herring family is facing overwhelming medical expenses, travel costs for treatments, and the daily costs of living while caring for a child with special needs.
