Maria Rodriguez-Casteneda sadly passed away on September 26, 2025

My Aunt Maria who died of Lung, Brain, Spinal Cancer, leaves behind a devoted husband, Hugo, and three beautiful daughters Nathally (21), Heidy (15), Helda (10) and a son Markanthony (22). Our hearts are heavy as we hold this family close in our thoughts and prayers.

This family is the true representation of warmth, kindness, and a spirit of resilience. Their presence has been a gift to us all, and we mourn this profound loss together. They are like my second family and feel true sadness.

My Aunt Maria was the embodiment of strength and grace. A true warrior until her final breath, she carried the weight of unimaginable pain with quiet dignity, never allowing her children to see her struggle. Her love for them was fierce—she always put their needs first, guiding them with unwavering resilience and hope. As an immigrant chasing the American dream, she faced every challenge with courage and determination, building a life rooted in sacrifice and love. Her legacy lives on in the strength and compassion of her children.

I know that this family is incredibly strong and compassionate. In times of sorrow, we come together to lift one another up.
