We all watched Hurricane Melissa ravage Jamaica, helpless to do anything for the people on the island other than offer our prayers for their safety from the vicious storm. Particularly hard hit was St. Elizabeth parish, on the southwest coast, which is where the Henry family resides.
They need our help!
I am Jennifer Severino, and I organized this GoFundMe to assist some of my closest friends, Aileen Henry and Leona Henry (Windy), in collecting funds for their family in Jamaica who have been devastated by this monstrous hurricane.
Their sister Shauna Henry and two of her three children, McCoi Morris (age 14) and MacKael Morris (age 16) were at their home in the St. Elizabeth parish area when the storm hit, while her eldest daughter (Aughenney Morris) was away at college in Kingston.
Within hours of landfall, the Henrys had already lost the roof of their home, with additional catastrophic damage occurring over the time the storm battered Jamaica.
Due to the lack of power, phones, and internet right now, we are still waiting for updates from the family as to the full extent of the destruction, but we know it will be great and will require a large amount of time, money, and support to get them back on their feet. They will likely need everything.
The Henry family has always welcomed me with open arms and love, without question, since the moment I met them. Please help me show them the same love. While we cannot help them recover what was lost, please offer what you can to help them rebuild their lives.
All monies donated with go directly to Aileen Henry who will get it to her family in Jamaica immediately to go to rebuilding their home and lives.
Please help the Henrys!
