Support the Harper Family in Memory of Ana Harper

Donation protected
Ana S. Harper, wife, mother, sister, friend passed away on Thursday, July 11th, one day shy of the day her own mother passed away. Ana leaves behind her loving husband of nearly nine years, David, her three precious children, Hanah, 17, who just graduated from HS and who begins Immaculata University in a few short weeks, Courtney, 7, and Chase, 5.  Ana’s greatest joy was family.  She was “all-in” as a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend.  She approached life with joy and zest and took whatever was thrown at her in stride.  She didn’t identify with people who were angry at cancer or upset about cancer, for Ana she decided she would fully embrace LIVING with cancer.  She didn’t lose her battle, because there was no fight- she lived with the disease and had thousands of days of joy at the same time.

David, Hanah, Courtney and Chase need us. They have many needs in the wake of Ana’s passing including getting Hanah off to college, summer camps, childcare, home repairs, meal assistance and more.  David could use time to just be with the children and help them adapt to a new reality. There will be counseling and support services in the weeks and months to come.

Ana taught us to dance in the rain, to put your lipstick on even if you felt like crap, to be fully present for your children, to know how to use Snapchat and stay one step ahead of your kids, to laugh at yourself, to sneak out of a hospital room and have an adventure at midnight even if you’re in pain, to take a selfie with your bestie when you can, to surprise your friends & those you love, to seek joy, to celebrate every moment, to hold onto your faith, to trust love, to love again, to call the first time a “practice marriage”, to take care of yourself, to celebrate everything, to go to the concert even if you didn’t feel well, to smile all the time, to hang the pictures, to color your hair like an Easter egg, to hang a spoon on your nose, to listen to your kids, to plan a vacation even if you’re sick, to make memories, to cherish all of it, to embrace whatever life hands you, and soooo much more....she is now our angel, dancing with God.

Please help support this extraordinary family.
