On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, the Hannon family experienced a parent's worst nightmare. In the late evening, they received a call no parent ever wants to receive telling them their son Sam was involved in a motor vehicle accident.
Sam went out for a run around the Bridgewater State University Campus. While running on the crosswalk, he was hit by a car. He was taken by ambulance to a location where he was transported by helicopter to a local Boston hospital.
Sam has multiple injuries; a broken shoulder, elbow, knee, leg, and pelvis. It is incredible that he only had a small amount of blood around his brain and a concussion, with no internal injuries. As Tanya says, "bones can heal." However, Sam has a long road to recovery ahead of him.
Sam has three brothers and a sister at home, along with other family and friends supporting him through his recovery.
The last thing on a parent's mind is the financial burden of a situation like this; that is why we are asking you to help support the Hannon Family. Missed work, parking, travel costs, co-pays, and other out-of-pocket expenses can cripple a family financially.
Would you please help us help them? Any donation is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, we appreciate you!
